Big Blue

So as I mentioned in my last blog, now that I'm on the mend and starting to feel better I would really like to start accompishing things again. Heavy lifting is still not recomended, which I'm o.k. with becauce for some reason the thought of heavy lifting scares me. So instead I have to find all things that don't involve heavy lifting to accomplish. The good news is there is still a lot to be done in our house BUT I think I'll start leaving the building stuff to my hubby and spend more time focusing on the decorating part

my first task is what I like to call big blue. What is big blue ? well it's the wall in my kitchen, it's big and it's blue and it's been haunting me since we moved into our house in March. I've been hopelessly contemplating what to do with it with no such luck. I've had a few ideas which where quickly shut down by my husband for some decent reasons. You see big blue happens to be a wall that has the majority of our duct work running through it causing my ideas to be shut down, one being that we don't really what to puncture the duct work with what would be recomended to hang the heavier items I dreamed of displaying and two being that because of all the duct work the stud finder will not work properly making it very hard to be certain we'll hit wood and not metal, tear. However I'm drying my tears because I've finally got the perfect thing.
TA DAAAAA
o.k. maybe it's not that exciting to you but it is to me. This is a picture that was taken during our belly photo shot of a canola field in bloom. The beauty of Canola has fasinated me since I moved here so I'm so excited that I can bring it into our home. So no heavy lifing involved, actually no real work involved because I'm having this picture split into 3 pieces and printed on a canvas' to hang on Big blue. Problem solved, I love the picture, it will be big enough to fit the scale of the wall and light enough to hang with picture nails. I'm so glad she will no longer be alone :) I'm not sure how long it will take to get these lovely canvas' but hopefully sooner then later will be the name of the game.
next project, our master bedroom, more specifically a head board and some side tables
* as a little side note "Yay Mandi and Travis, I can't wait to meet her, you'll be the best mommy and daddy ever. I'm so proud of you " *

Hey! So exhausted. Hoping to call you tomorrow. We had so many visitors today that we both need some quiet and I forgot to bring joel's cell number or I would have sent pictures already. I will try to send one to your emerald email. Her name is eloise Jane (insert smiley face)!
