So we are give or take 8 weeks away from meeting our little man, and oh so excited. I honestly feel like I've been pregnant forever so the fact that the end is near is so exciting. We're both just ready to hold our little baby in our arms, although Joel has expressed that he wishes I could be pregnant forever, I do not share this desire with him. I am nothing but officially round, o.k. well I've been officially round awhile now but the bigger baby gets the harder my stomach gets which is very strange, and you know in cartoons when the characters get hungry and there stomach makes that wavey movement, that's what it looks like when my very active boy moves around. So here are some facts thus far.
Baby : the size of a squash and as big as 4 lbs
Weeks : 32
weight gained : 24 lbs
Belly circumference : big
Peeing schedule : at least twice an hr (you probably didn't care to know that but too bad)
Weeks of work left : 4 WOO to the HOO
So another 8 weeks to go and lots to do. The nursery is almost complete, just waiting on one special element that SHOULD have been here already but it's not. Once that special something gets here I'll share some pictures.
Joel and I made our "House to do" list for what we want to get done before baby gets here and it's only 32 items long, CRINGE. I knocked off 5 items on Saturday so that felt good but there's still a lot of little tedious things to finish before we can declare our labor of love is finished.
I decided to take mat leave sooner then later, one because of the amount of things to do and 2 because my body is tired and doesn't want to come to work anymore. The job I'm in was never planned as a permanent job, so the fact that I'm not coming back means that next year how pressing it is that I return to work 12 months to the day will depend on the obvious, finances. So that will be played by ear and if I'm honest, the thought of having some time to myself before baby comes is an awesome one. So 4 weeks exactly

and here is a picture of the little man taking over my body. I tried to get my head but the lighting and the places that I had to rest the camera just were not cooperating so big Belly is all you get.
