First trip to Babies R us

So like most shopping experiences I probably should have expected it, but I didn't, I did however laugh. If you wondering what the heck I'm taking about I'll tell you right now.

My first experience with my husband's shopping style was when we were putting together our wedding registry. Suddenly he was missing, "Joel, Joel, where are you? Oh " there he was, in the back of Home Outfitters, testing out the message chairs, and then later on swing in a hammock. Pretty typical of our shopping trips, if there's a comfy chair/bed/swing, that's where my husband will be. This applies to Christmas shopping, grocery shopping and now baby shopping. Please see exhibit A.

Exhibit A: Busted

Exhibit B : Dominique we need this chair

Exhibit C: because I thought it was funny :) Such a good daddy

So there it is, first trip to Babies R us, an all around positive experience. However thanks to my husband I now want one of those Glide rockers, this wouldn't be such a big deal if they didn't cost $400, that's a far cry from my $150 rocker from ikea. Maybe I'll win the lottery, but probably not since I never buy lottery tickets which typically causes a problem in the winning department.

well you know that if you end up having twins, Joel is already qualified to hold both while rocking.

Babies 'R' Us is a very dangerous place!! I've had to talk myself out of there more than once already!! :) I am also desperately wanting one of those wonderful chairs...but they are pretty pricey! We put one on our gift registry and are hoping for the best! Congrats on your pregnancy Dom!! Hope you are feeling good!

Hi Dominique so I have been reading your blog for awhile (hope that's okay) and just wanted to say that one of those rockers is totally worth it. We had gotten a cheaper one and it was awful so once we had some gift money we bought one and it is totally worth it. I have spent hours sitting in it and I still love it! Anyways happy shopping!

So funny. I love babies R us! Last time I was there with my sister-in-law and I seriously wanted to by sooooo many things... just in advance. I don't really have any use for a polk-a-dot baby sling or a sleep sheep even in the next year, but I really wanted them. Joel is going to be an awesome dad.
